How to get rid of the seasonal allergy?

I suffer from an itchy throat which is so unpleasant, specially that I get the need to cough a lot which makes me embarrassed, I started using Levorid " antihistamine" last night , but the problem is that I had to use it 4 months ago, so I was also wondering if its safe using it again?
