Catarrh and sinus problem?

Can any one offer any suggestions for the Relief of catarrh. I have suffered from this for 2 years. I use decongestant sprays antihistamine tabs, steam etc. These sometimes help but for only short periods of time. Not to be too graphic but the catarrh is always green so this would indicate that it is infected.I have tried antibiotics from my doctor which did nothing at all. I would be most grateful for any sensible suggestions.

I get urticaria every night and I don't know what causes it. The GP has prescribed me with antihistamines, which work, but I want it to stop altogether so I don't have to rely on the pills. Can anyone help? Or ideas to what the cause may be?

Wanting to adopt a cat. Allergic to some, but not others.?

I am looking into adopting a cat/kitten after I adopt a dog and get her settled in. My boyfriend is more of a cat person than a dog person, so we decided to get both. I am allergic to cats, but only some of them. My parents had 3 cats (one himalayan, and two mixes). I was allergic to both the mixed cats with the short hair, but not the long-haired himalayan. I'm not sure if it's an allergy to the dander, saliva or what. It's not really a severe reaction. My eyes just get itchy and swollen, I sneeze constantly and my nose gets stuffy. Is there any way I can minimize the allergy issue with cats? Besides just taking antihistamines and staying away? Any special baths, brushes or something?

My dog has lumps on his body, up his nose, and in eyes?

For a while my dog has been getting lumps all over his body, he has been checked by the vet and she didnt know what they were, she said she hadnt seen bumps like that. We had them biopsied with no results of anything! Steroids took them away, but made him unfriendly so we had to take him off because I have small children. These bumps would come and go. So he had bumps on his body, then got one in his eye it appeared and in his nose. The vet gave an antihistamine, which got rid of them, but they came back two weeks later, tried the same meds and it did nothing. We took him to another vet to figure out what these are, she hasnt seen it either. She wants to biopsy again! The eyes, its like behind the lower lid is totally inflammed, the inner eyelid? and he has it up his nose to the point where he is having a really really hard time breathing, he has to breath through his mouth and nose, he sounds rabid! She gave us an anti-inflammatory for it, but he is just getting worse as each day goes by! We are at a loss as to what to do, these vets havent seen this before! Just hoping someone else has had this happen to their dog and can offer some ideas as to what to tell the vet to investigate. My poor dog, Im scared he will suffocate at night and die its that bad!

Help for Hay fever cough?

I am asthmatic and over the last couple of years have developed a hay fever cough. I have had tests to check it out and the doctor has given me several types of antihistamines, non of which seem to work very well. They seem to work for a couple of days or even, in the case of the last lot, a few weeks then they stop. My chest is very tight and hurts. I already have a steroid inhaler and a salbutamol one but they don't seem to help either. Anyone any ideas what I can do to get some relief.

My 6 yr old English Springer Spaniel is currently being treated for a suspected allergy. Symptoms are recurrent ear infections & a rash on her abdomen. Anyways, the vet put her on Cephalexin (an antibiotic), Chlorpheniramine (antihistamine), Prednisolone (steroid), and Tresadem for ear drops. She is handling this cocktail of drugs really well & takes them like a champ, but also is due for her yearly shots and a Frontline app. Just seems to me like an awful lot of STUFF is being introduced into her system so maybe I should hold off on adding more until she is off these meds. I wrestle with getting all the recommended vaccinations for my dog each year anyway. I have heard different opinions on whether boosters truly necessary. Any advice would be appreciated.

Would ex get joint custody if he expects his mother to have the kids on his time?

I am in the process of creating a new parenting / custody / child support agreement, Ex currently does not have joint custody because of his hobbies and work. He wants to make it joint custody (I say because he doesn't want to pay the amount of child support he is suppose to pay) but what he wants to do I think is wrong. Since he is a spoiled POS of course his mother would help on this. He wants to have the boys every other night during the week, wake them up at 4am! and drop them off at 430am at his mom's so she can get them up at 630am and get them ready, etc. and drop them off at daycare at 730am before she goes to work. It is not her responsiblity and I don't think that is fair at all to my children to mess their schedule up like that. Would a court award him joint custody with this agreement? I think that is completely absord! My poor child need structure and I do not agree with them waking up one day at 4am then the next at 630am. I am NOT getting up at 4am every day so my kids could stay on that schedule plus they would want to go to bed at like 7pm if they did get up that early. so he says that would give him extra time with the kids but how is that? When they would want to go to bed at like 7pm instead of him dropping them off to me at 9pm. Would a judge in maryland go along with this?

Has anyone else had Wellbutrin cause ear pain?

I started taking it about 3 weeks ago. I'm on a very low dose (75mg). About 3 days after I started it, I started having ear pain and was dxd with a double ear infection. Had to take a break from the Wellbutrin for a week due to interactions between it, decongestants and antihistamines for my ears. Started back on it today, and the ear pain seems to have returned. Very odd and I haven't seen it listed as a side effect. My ears aren't ringing. They just feel full.

My vet didn't know what was wrong with my dog. I personally think he is having an allergic reaction to tick bites. Nymph tick infestation outside. He has tachypnea, angioedema to his entire body , and loosing hair. This happened thursday overnight n she only gave him a steroid, an antibiotic and a stomach protection tablet... I haven't seem any progress only more erythema to his body n more hair loss. Can I try an antihistamine? Will the steroid he is already on have gotten rid of his allergic reaction if that's what it is. Pls help me I dot want him to die.

Ive had an allergic reaction to hairdye, can i dye my hair again if i dont have contact with my scalp?

ive had 2 reactions (contact dermatitis. generally feeling unwell, tight forehead and itchy ears and nausea. no swelling or lumps etc) to hair dye using light brown and was wondering if it is safe to use again if i don't do my roots and have no contact with my scalp? i dyed my hair in between these 2 reactions (a dark brown) and was absolutely fine. or should i use a semi permanent or naturtint or could i take a antihistamine prior to dyeing to prevent any allergies! i know some will say do not dye my hair again but i need to do it one last time to match my roots and then i can let it grow. please help me! thanks in advance.x

I went to a local clinic in Dallas Texas, the total was $180 but the front desk lady charged me just for $18.00. She just swiped my card on the machine and i did not use my pin number, I just got my receipt copy and and I signed it. Can they still charge me for the remaining balance without my authority or signature? I did not pay with insurance it was all on my card. I was not pleased with their service and I am glad they screwed up.

Well my dad is nicer than my mom.. Anyways, when I was younger, like age 5, and stuff my mom would always always hit me. I would cry a lot. How do I get rid of hives?

I have been getting hives for almost 2 months and they usually come at around when I wake up and around when I go to bed. The show up all over my body, my feet, legs, thighs, torso, arms, neck, and face. The even show up on the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. On my face they show up so bad it looks like I've been beaten. I've been to the hospital and they gave me every antihistamine including steroids, nothings worked. About 3 years ago I got allergy testing and the only thing I'm allergic to is dairy, but i don't eat/drink dairy products. The itch like hec and everyday they get worse. I am going to go insane. I'm not under any stress or nervousness at all so how can I make these go away.

That man chorus, that's it. I swung my sword and killed him and then that girl I like from school came over and was about to kiss me, but then slapped me and told me 'what a pimp.' I bought now-drowsy Claritin (12-hour formula) last week, but every day I've taken it I've felt the "brain fog" and sleepiness that it claims NOT to cause. I don't know why this is. Is there another allergy medicine I can take that really WON'T cause drowsiness?

I tried system restore and i also tried safe mode. I assume I have some sort of virus? This is difficult to fix considering I forgot my password to log into my computer with. It tells me I need to know my original password in order to change it, does anyone know how to do this? Im 13, and have very sensitive skin. What type of makeup should I use?

I am looking into buying some foundation and possibly blush. My skin doesnt have much color, so I have been using blush (a very, very small amount) since I was about 8. Anyway, my skin is so sensitive that during spring and fall, I have to take an antihistamine (spelling?) every day because I get a super itchy rash on my face. I have already talked to my mom, and she is fine with me wearing a small amount of makeup. Acne is not really a problem for me. Neither of my parents had acne, and I only get the occasional pimple. so my sister is older than me, long stoy short she was a runaway kind of a kid whoe eventually got raped at a party and fully ran away after that, then i was born. she came to this country. when i was 7 came too. she was amazed at how well me and mom mom got along (or so i suspect) she ws immediatley very mean, adding all the little and sometimes really big things she did to both me and my mom. my mom actually feels guilty because she thinks she was a bad mother with her so she kept trying to go back to he dragging me along with her. i began to change over the periods my mom called it quits and got away from her only to have her come back later. again the point is i began dressing really conservative. for some atrange reason after loosing her kids and getting pregnat she got maied and became a church going woman. i still dint like her but my mom fell like butter on the pan. as they got closer things sort of came up but once they got into another fight my mom finally tld me about these little comments of hers: that i muts of been raped because i dress this way (jeez what a low) that im spoiled because im shy (she hates me so she cant possibly be actually worried so come on) and so on. one morning during one of their akwar make up breakfasts my mom commented to my sister a questions i had about certain LOVE thingies and my sister just shot a bunch of info my way amongst which was :yu kissed your cousin when you were smalland alllot of other disgusting things leaving me dumbfounded the worst of all is that when my mom came to my room she said all she had said were lies. like what the F who sais lies in front of some one else? and my mom jsut went back to my sister liek she hadnt done anything and insisting she had just been lying and beleiveing herself. do i or do i not have reasons to be pissed off at both of them? who is right in this situation? thanks for your opinio

Why is my 1 year old son all of a sudden being mean?

My 1 year old son is the happiest, funniest, and sweetest boy (usually). I have never once had a problem with him listening when I tell him no I may have to tell him twice but he listens and never once has he hit. He has thrown fits before where hes thrown himself back when he doesn't get his way because he is spoiled rotten but he usually gets over it in about 45 seconds. Overall though hes a good kid and is so funny. But for the past four days its like a new kid I have no idea what is going on. He will NOT listen at all. If I tell him no he keeps doing what he's doing or he gets mad and starts throwing things or tries to knock whatever it is off the table. If you smack his hand he will smack back now, hit, and pull hair. He's been not himself lately and its really worrying me. We just moved to a new state 3 weeks ago(my husband is Army) and he seemed to be adjusting well but now I'm not sure if that's what it is or not. I'm completely shocked and really upset by how he's acting. He's even stopped sleeping threw the night these past four days and is waking up screaming and crying all night long. I took him to the doctor yesterday and he checked to make sure he was healthy and didn't have an ear infection or something and he said he was fine and that his terrible two's were just starting early but I'm not sure I'm too confinced about that. Any advice would be great I just feel like he's so unhappy and it's breaking my heart. Also my mother and sister came to visit this past weekend and my mother and husband had a big fight (they do not get along) and my mother pushed my husband in front of our son and when she turned around she knocked my son down and he was hysterical so I asked her to leave because I can not have that around my son. Could this be why he's acting this way? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is there a OTC pain medication that's safe to take daily?

I have severe allergies that cause migraines. I'm on a whole host of allergy medications, but most days it's not enough to keep the pain at bay. It's interfering with my life, and I see the doctor several times a month (will be going to her next week actually). I even got a steroid shot to help dull the symptoms. I've found that taking pain medication when the pain first starts helps keep it in check. I've been taking one Exedrine tablet (250 mg asprin and 250 mg acedomenophen/tylenol) a day and it helps a lot. I don't generally drink (the occasional glass of wine when guests are over) and the only other medications I'm on are just antihistamines. Is it okay to keep doing this through the allergy season? Or is it bad for my body?

Is it safe to mix Dayquil and Nyquil?

I have both dayquil and nyquil, but the ones that are specifically for coughing. Both have the same amount of cough medicine, but the nyquil also has an antihistamine. I want the antihistamine effects for my allergies, but i don't want a full dose because it makes me pretty drowsy. But I need a full dose of cough medicine to treat my coughing. So is there any problem with mixing half a dose of dayquil with half of nyquil? Thanks.

If he were an indoor cat i'd suggest using feliway to calm him down while he adjusts to the new dog. This is a plug in or spray which releases cat pheromones to calm your cat, it's not noticable to humans. Why and I experiencing itchy skin?

For the last 2 months or so I have been having very itchy skin. It seems like it started after some muscle twitches started on my upper lip (I know that sounds weird). It started with me hands and feet, and now I itch almost all over if I don't take an antihistamine. My eyes and face even itch sometimes. Doctors have done blood work which all came back normal. Could it be my nerves causing both the twitching and the itching? Seems like it mostly happens at night or in the evening, but it sometimes even happens during the day. My doctor did tell me that I have lots of drainage and very red and swollen sinuses. Could this all be allergies maybe?

She has had hives for a little over a couple months nearly everyday. At first, I took her to urgent care because they were huge welts the size of breadsticks and I wasn't used to them so they scared me. Well I've been giving her antihistamine nearly everyday since to relieve her from the hives. We were told we had to wait 6 weeks before getting referred to a pediatric allergist because hives can be from a virus. Well, that is ruled out now, we went to the pediatric allergist on monday (which was an hour away, and the appointment lasted 3 hours...with a 2 year old during naptime-they schedule it for you because hes booked out and the only pediatric allergist within an hour and in our HMO provider list.) They did allergy testing for the top 13 food allergies common at her age and then also dust mites...she was allergic to NOTHING. Which I have a hard time believing, because ice cream and veggie dip makes her break out in hives badly, so does other things, but those are things we have noticed. The allergist told us to give her an antihistamine everyday for two months (we do anyways, and then for one month give as needed (WE DO ANYWAYS.) And then come back to see him in 3 months. Instead, I think I would rather drive as far as I have to and get a second opinion. I am so upset that she has horrible hives and there is no explanation. He also said we might have to get referred to a pediatric rheumatologist I think he called it because she could have an underlying autoimmune disorder, but he also said that should have been diagnosed already if she would have one. Also, her immune system could just be too immature to be picking up an allergy. I am just at a loss as to what to do. Please help in anyway you can. Refer me to any information, any experience. This is exhausting physically and emotionally. There is obviously something wrong.

Hi, I'm a guy who isn't married yet or have a child. I was wondering if I should just raise my kids without giving them any toys or spoil them with anything in their younger years so they will be grateful for what they have. I will never yell at them, insult them or physically punish them. I will want to focus a lot on their education and become really smart(not by learning a lot of knowledge but by being creative). I will also let them exercise and play a lot of sports so they don't become full blown unfit nerds. I won't let them watch television too much. I will let them socialize but also make it clear that they have to stop participating in certain activities when I tell them to(or give them the initiative to) . Overall, I don't want them to make the same mistakes I made(being lazy), or even make the mistakes that most modern kids/teenagers make.

i have never heard of antihistamines being injected ... are you sure it was not a steroid injection ??? if it was you paid for the wrong thing, the skin scraping would have been better than a steroid shot ... and funny, i have never had a gun put to my head at the vet to make me buy anything ... and yes, that shampoo will help your dog feel better ... i have a dog with severe allergies and i had to tell vets to not give the cortisone shot any more ... it was a waste of money and if you yourself have ever had a cortisone shot, it hurts like hell to receive ... you would have been better off asking for an antihistamine you can use like benadryl ... i think it is more likely your dog has allergies and that will be a lifelong management, there is no cure ... you need to figure out on your own and it is not easy, what your dog is allergic to ... i doubt it is fleas as you have the dog on prevention and you have not found any fleas ... if you live where there are four distinct seasons and the dog is itchy year round he could be allergic to pollens and things in the environment ... in that case the dog would live on antihistamines and you would have to change antihistamine brands to keep up the efficacy ... with environmental allergies, weekly bathing with a shampoo like you bought is good ... and you can also wipe the dog with a damp cloth on coming in from outside, the coat and the paws ... if the dog is allergic to pollens and comes inside and licks those pollens, his allergy symptoms will be triggered ... you can also go onto allergy websites and see what foods crossreact with the pollens at that time of year and avoid giving your dog those human foods ... if the dog is allergic to food then you will have to do an elimination diet to find out what the dog it allergic too ... an elimination diet is for 3-4 months on one food with limited ingredients and a protein source your dog has never had before ... no other food, treats, human food, anything during this time otherwise it won't be a true elimination diet ... several companies make limited ingredient diets ... natures balance is the one i use because it comes in kibble, canned and treats (harsh to not give your dog a treat for four months :O) ... good luck, allergies suck ...

Why am I getting hives everyday but doctors say I'm not allergic to anything?

I have been getting hives everyday for almost a year. I've been to a dermatologist and an allergist. they did a blood test but it came back normal an sent me home with a bunch of samplers of zrtex. well that stopes working. the dermatologist gave me a prescription of hydroxizine witch is an antihistamine an a sleeping pill (it's hard for me to sleep at night cause I'm constantly scratching myself) it would really help an clear it up the next morning. I'm so sick an tired of getting an having these hives everyday. I would love some help!!

My teeth become sensitive when my allergies act up. Any tips?

It may sounds strange, but with allergies or any sinus problems my teeth become TERRIBLY sensitive. I don't even know if it makes sense. I've been told it's because of the pressure it puts on the nerves or something. I don't understand that, I won't pretend I do, but apparently it happens. I have attempted all allergy season to keep this terrible symptom from rearing it's ugly head.(Though I have much more severe symptoms, so it's not just this.) Masks, antihistamines, decongestants, the whole nine yards. But today, it has happened. And it is killing me. Sort of literally in a way. The pain is excruciating if anything touches my teeth, particularly liquid, and that's really almost all that goes in my mouth. And it's pertinent to my survival. It hurts terribly. I've tried to do it little by little anyway, but it's just so painful. I'm getting dehydrated because of this, and with all my other problems, oh I do not need that. So anyone know what I can do. Does sensodyne toothpaste and that sort of stuff work if the sensitivity is due to sinus pressure or only when it's caused by wearing down of enamel? Is there anything I can do to make this less painful. Because I REALLY need to get some fluids in me before I go to bed.

That tells me they have no case and just in hope you pay, if they had a case the company would demand full payment. So in the end, in your best interest, do not talk to her insurance company at all (or her)... if anyone talks to them let your old insurance company do the talking.

On 25th evening he called me and said that he was going to his native with his family and asked me to join him. But the journey takes two days. So, i said , my parents wont let me da. When i called him the next day , he said, " please dont speak with me da, because im a bad boy, my character is not good, you must take care of your carrer, you must read well, you must succeed in your life, your career should not get spoiled because of me, dont waste your time speaking with me". My cat has been scratching excessively for a couple of weeks now and I'm noticing more frequent grooming.?

I've taken her to the vet....no fleas, ticks, mites. etc. She is strictly an indoor cat. I was given an antihistamine for her, which does not help. I was told about the possibility of a food allergy so I changed her diet to one with "limited ingredients" which are lacking the usual food allergy triggers. That's not helping either. I tried cortisone spray for cats which does nothing either. I tried vitamin supplements which contain Omega oils to see if that would help if the problem is just dry skin or dandruff. She has no redness on her skin and isn't getting any bald patches. She is acting normally. But, she seems uncomfortable, scratching every chance she gets. Any other suggestions?

I have been waking up with Puffy and Swollen eyelids for about a week now. It is only the top from my eyelid crease to the bottom of my brow. I have no other symptoms other than I can FEEL when they are puffy. They go down throughout the day, but never fully. When I wake up they go right back to being big honkin puffers. I went to the doctor and they gave me a 5-day taper of prednisone and a 5 day antihistamine perscription. These did NOTHING. I have stopped wearing makeup and I changed ALL of my bed dressings, not just my pillows. I have taken benadryl and 12 hour allergy meds and nothing has helped. NONE of my routines have changed, nor have i used anything new or eaten anything different. I have no idea what else to do. PLEASE help.

Hiii... Lately my hair quality's descended.. I wonder why ! Recently got a new job that involves sitting in an Air-conditioned room and working on laptop all day long. My hair sees no sun. It has become very dry and rough. Humid temperature of my city spoils it even more whenever I am not at work. Hair is extremely dry after wash and starts becoming oily later in following 2 days. Head massage with warm coconut/almond oil gives me oily dandruff. Hair looks dull and has almost stopped growing below shoulder length. Suggest me a way out please ! I have never done any hair coloring or do not subject it to straightning or curling usually. Suggest me if I need to follow a certain diet plan. I accidently took all three at once (something fell and broke so I forget I took two already and we back and took 1 more) It also say's don't take more than 6 doses in 24 hours....? Sounds like worms, thyroid imbalance (very common development in older cats) or possibly some degenerative digestive disorder, may be having diahorrea (sorry cant spell that word) and not absorbing the nutrition of the food. You could try a general wormer and if she's still attacking food lilke she's starving, take her to the vet for tests to identify whats going on.

I have been diagnosed with dermographism, but i only get it from light touch, like my hair around my face or material on my arms i dont really get it on my body or legs just my face neck chest shoulders and arms, the itching is intense, antihistamines do help but make me drowsy which i hate, does any one else have these symptoms with this skin complaint? most reports i read are from people who suffer welts from quite hard pressure to the skin such as scratches or bumps not a light brush or a single strand of hair. also does any one have any other ways of coping with the itchyness other than antihistamines? thanks in advance

I havent gotten my period for 38 days....?

the first time I had my period was in September, and only for the first cycle, was it ever as long as 38 days in between each one. im 14, and the last period I had (38 days ago) was only for four days. it was very light, well not really. first two days was pretty heavy, but the last two days were pretty light, like ok ish. and the fourth day was rly light. before my last period, I had ran 10km for this marathon thing. but I remember my vagina kinda swiped the shower curtains shortly before my period. and since the four day period, I haven’t had another one. it’s been 38 days, and since two days ago, ive been getting brown discharge. is it old blood? my period? or is there something wrong with me? im really worried. could I be pregnant? My friend and I entered the 8th Street-NYU subway station. There was no metrocard machine, and my friend was short on his fare. How can I integrate my cats with a new kitten?

We adopted a kitten who is 5 months old a few days ago. He is coming into a household that already has 2 cats that are brothers that we have been raising since they were six weeks old (They are now 2yrs old). We tried to follow instructions from our cat book and separated the older cats from the kitten so that they could slowly get used to his smell. But the kitten wanted nothing more than to play with the cats and escaped from the room he was in. Now, the 2 adult cats are on edge and upset. One of our cats used to be so sweet and loving and now is too worried about the kitten to care about us or to even want to go near anyone. He has pretty much secluded himself from everyone else. The kitten is continuously going up to each cat and sometimes with one he will get a lukewarm response, but with one he will get hissed at and swiped at no matter what. But he doesn't seem to care and still wants to play. Is there any steps that can be taken to get these cats to get along? Sometimes I see the adults hissing at each other now for no reason and I have never seen that with them before. I want the kitten to fit in but I cannot do it at the expense of my older cats. I need some help please!!!!!!!!!

I went to the doctor today and my blood pressure was 131/82. I know this isn't really that high, but I heard that anything over 120 is "prehypertension." I'm 22, thin, and fairly athletic. My family doesn't really have a history of high blood pressure. Could it just be that high from nerves? I was pretty anxious about the appointment just because I don't like going to the doctor, even though it wasn't about anything serious. I also take antihistamines for allergies and am not sure if that could affect it. Is my blood pressure something I should be worried about?

Aggressive dominant mare?

So I brought home my 3 year old gelding today, I have another 10 year old Canadian gelding . OK so I started my period in late april that lasted 11 days. then 24 days later I started my second period that lasted for 2 days. Should I get work done?

I'm in my teens and am in high school, I've always wanted to get work done. My nose isn't to long but it looks like there's a ball in the middle :/ plus my breast are small-ish but my moms are huge so I'm waiting for them to grow in. Help with Introducing Cats (kinda messed up)?

Female cats always seem to take longer to adjust. Don't know why, that's just the way they are. This adjustment period is what we call "The 2 week hissy fits." I would recommend taking a CLEAN bath towel, then putting the 2 cats in a closer area, then take the towel, and rub the dominant cat, (the one that you acquired in your home 1st), rub the towel all over "Mouse" and then rub it on Cassie. Then taking another clean towel, rub that on Cassie, and then rub it on Mouse. What you are doing is transferring the smell from Mouse to Cassie, and then Cassie to Mouse. They seem to adapt better when they have the others smell/scent on them. Also, If you have a quieter area of your home where you can put a "blanket or towel with Cassie's smell on it, like right where she is sleeping, then she will probably adjust faster. Its not gonna happen overnight, but it will speed up the process. As far as the cat door to the outside, I wouldn't even be thinking about letting Cassie outside until she has adjusted to the inside, and her "new" routine. My mom let a cat out once right after we moved to a new home, and we later found him in the middle of the road run over by a car, and it appeared that he was headed back to the old house, cause we found his body halfway back to the old place when we went to pick up another load of furniture. It was an awful day! Mom has never gotten past the loss of her cat. We think that he was trying to go back to the old place, and your Cassie might try the same thing, looking for her babies. You will notice that when the cat shelter does adoptions now, they will usually send home wit the new "parolee" the same pad/blanket that was in his cage The last cat we adopted they sent him home withh the pad/blanket that was "his" from his cage, and he adjusted very quickly. He had a few weeks that were rough, as at his old home, he was let out at night, but here in Colorado, there are foxes all over the place at night, and I don't want him to get eaten up, so it took a while for him to get used to the new routine, but he did, and I also do take him out....IN the cat stroller! Well, hope this helps, and just be patient. All will work out.

Your armpit hair doesn't grow in just one direction, it grows in all sorts of directions. That's why I shave my armpits up to down, then down to up, and the left to right and right to left. This way you get all of the hairs that grow in all different directions. That hair probably didn't come off because it was growing in a different direction than you shaved. I don't think it matters what time in the shower you shave your armpits but I guess I do it in the middle of my shower, idk why thats just when I do it. After a while of shaving your armpits you'll get used to it

I have used E45 itch relief, ordinary E45 & E45 lotion, Vaseline & Aloe.. Any other ideas, With the lotion it is going back to skin colour instead of bright red but it is still dry & cracking and I have the little spots with it too so these need drying out... The most awkward thing is - I can't keep it covered as its on the palm of my hand and inbetween my fingers!! & I work when the doctors work & can't take time off just for a little dry skin... Now that's about double the dosage that your suppose to take ( 2 table spoons every 6 hours) but it doesn't exceed the 4 doses per 24 hours......i too 2 doses in 24 hours just all at once now i know this was stupid i was at a party i had a drink or 2 (wine) and when i went home i didn't feel good and wanted to sleep so i figured itd knock me out (it did :p) now that was Saturday night its tuesday and Im sick [i just got sick it hasnt been since saterday or anything] ( diarrhea and vomiting) but i hope this has nothing to do with the equate and is just a stomach bug ( i throw up a lot and getdiarrhear a lot i have a weak stomach) Im a boy Im almost 5 foot 11 and im around 190 pounds so pretty much my question is should i be worried about dieing haha like is my liver going to shut down because i know equate is like nyquil and is antihistamine i dont want any answers saying u should go to the doctor or any of that i want a straight answer from some one who really knows i don't want opinions i want a nurse or doctor or some one who has knowledge of this to answer am i okay or should i be worried?

My FIV positive cat is licking all the fur off of his back. Possible remedies?

My FIV positive cat is licking the fur off of his back until the point that he bleeds. He is FIV positive (re: suppressed immune system) which excludes the possibility of steroid treatment. The vet has given us antihistamines and has proposed a reduction diet, neither of which seem to work. Anyone out there in a similar situation? Are there skin creams available for this problem? Any solution at all...Thanks!

Left side of face sore and eye slightly swollen?

About 10 days ago I woke up with swollen, sore, itchy eyes (my left eye was worse than my right). I thought it was allergy related because I have persistant rhinitus so I took Antihistamine tablets and used some of the allery eye drops I have. Although this didnt do anything they were better within a few days so I didnt go to the doctors and thought nothing else of it. But today I woke up with swollen eyes and again the left was worse than my right> This time there is no itchiness but my left eye is very, very sore when I blink or move my eyeball and the whole left side of my face hurts to touch. My right side of my face is fine and the eye is only very slightly swollen. Again I took Antihistamines, eyedrops and also this time used Flixonase nose spray that the doctors perscribe me for my rhinitus. This hasnt done anything. This may not be related but inside my left nostril is very sore and red and has a red sore lump inside it which I thought was a coldsore but it isnt. I have also taken Pseudoephedrine decongestant tablets incase in sinusitus but these havent helped so far. Done anyone know what this might be? Answers would be much appreciated :)

Do I have OCD and is there something wrong with me?

I have been thinking that i have had OCD for quite a while. For a few years now I have noticed some symptoms that may be associated with OCD. In particular in the last year I received a mac book from my school. On the mac book when pressing the command key and the space bar it opens a quick spotlight option. Once I found out I could do this without affecting what I was working on I started tapping it, obsessively. I tapped the space bar while holding both command keys next to it. When I was typing in school or at home I would tap it after finishing a sentence or paragraph. It just became this thing that I did. I really don't know how to describe it, it sounds silly when typing this. This didn't hinder my work in anyway but it made a loud noise that nobody mentioned at home, I pressed the space bar hard and tapped it many many times trying to make it feel right but it never really did. This was accompanied by pressing hard and swiping my hand across the clicker looking for the same feeling. I also would type, delete, and re-type letters, especially 'e' and I think 'c', I think the girl who sat next to me in computer class noticed after I did it about 10 times. I would also highlight and re-highlight the words on a web page (in the past sentence I just typed, deleted and re-typed the letter 'd' and 'c'). I would also tap other key combinations such as the command+tab shortcut which switches applications. I noticed that my symptoms were directly related with how emotional I was or how much stress I am under. Since the summer started I haven't shown many of the symptoms mentioned above, partly because of the stress-free environment of summer and mostly (I think) because I don't have the mac book any more. This was all in the past year (my first year of high-school). Before this I would visualize lining up telephone poles that I saw through the windows of our car and in restaurants. My mother noticed that I would move around in my seat lining things up outside from my perspective. I also played a game in the car where I would line up the tops of the telephone poles (with the antenna-like tops with the wires) with the blue visor at the top of our windshield (this is hard to explain also). I've always suspected this was a game though. I don't do either of these things anymore. Nowadays I will roam around the house tapping the walls and tabletops and assorted bed stands that I walk by. Sometimes I with tap the first digits of my fingers (on the inside) with some force on the top of a table or a wall. When I get medicine out of the medicine cabinet I will repeatedly touch the door and close it because it doesn't close all the way and this bothers me. I also collect useless junk. I have pieces of paper and lint that I don't want to throw away for some reason. I just collect this stuff. When the top cloth layer of the inside sole of my right shoe came out my mother wanted to throw it away but I insisted that I keep it. This also includes the clippings of my jeans that were tearing off at the bottom. Luckily I have thrown both of these pathetic items away. During the summer after 8th grade I decided to go through and throw out all of my papers from that year. Most kids say they are ready to burn their binders but I wanted to horde mine and all of the papers inside. I wanted to keep all of those papers with my A+'s on them. I thought that one day I would need them to show to someone how smart I am. I ended up throwing them away. We kept them in a brown bag that was ready to be thrown out. My mother said she would throw them away in the morning. I had a mini-panic attack that evening and I think I convinced my mother to keep them for a month or two. They're gone now. I don't know if the rest of this is related or not but here it goes; When making a decision I can usually say yes or no. But like this one time my sister and her two friends were going out with my mother and they asked me whether I wanted to come along. I initially refused but then I sat in my chair for a bit while they went out to the car. I racked my brain trying to make a decision whether I wanted to go or not. I was and still am convinced that I need to be impulsive and take those seemingly minor decisions like going with my sister and her friends. I grabbed my shoes and socks and ran out the door before they left with a quick, "I'm going too!" to my dad. I ran to the car barefoot as they were about to pull away. I was convinced I would meet someone and I would have a "book moment" (I hope you know what I mean). This also happened today when deciding whether to go walking with my dad, I also walked in complete silence with him, wondering whether I should talk about how I handled him wanted to show how to use a gun and being a "wimp" a few years ago. hi, my mouse pad kinda disconnects every 5 minutes or so, its not a power button issue because the power button for the mouse pad required you to hold "Fn and press F7", every so often my mouse pad will just either disconnect or act like theres two fingers on the pad trying to control the mouse which there isnt OR it will not react to anything on the first swipe of the pad but after that i can only describe the mouse is being awekward, the only way i can get it to work is to either wait until it wants to work, or by hitting the pad with my finger really hard, is anybody else having this issue? my laptop is about a year old now but its in great condition, ive never dropped it and its very clean

Zaditor Eye allergy drops and breastfeeding?

I have really bad allergies and can take claritin for the nose and throat itchiness, but my eyes always stay swollen and itchy until I found zaditor. Now I'm breastfeeding and I'm not sure if I should take it. The internet says there isn't a lot of studies done with taking eye drops and the affects on breast milk or if the medicine passes through. Has anyone taken zaditor while breastfeeding, or has anyone found any antihistamine eye drops safe while breastfeeding?

My body wash, designed for hives and eczema, is just GIVING ME HIVES?!?

Currently I'm using Cetaphil Restoraderm Body Wash, the kind for atopic skin. I've probably been using this for 4 days, during the night time, and I've noticed a massive amount of hives forming around my shoulders and upper arms when I use it. The hives are small little red dots. They aren't really raised, but sort of. They itch, but barely and they go away in a matter of 10 minutes whenever I get out of the shower. I used to get hives all the time around my neck when I was younger, but they were BIG raised red harsh hives, so I'm not really used to this kind. I've been on a antihistamine for about 2 years now (xyzal), and since then I havn't gotten the hives again, but even when I take it, I STILL get the hives from the body wash. I know the body wash is causing the hives too because I didn't get them like this before I started using it. I just don't understand because I googled it and all that came up was positive results about how the body wash helped with other peoples hives and eczema... Could I be allergic to an ingredient? Help with a diagnosis? (Post Nasal Drip Related)?

I was told I have post nasal drip by my doctor, and he gave me some nasal spray and told me to take some antihistamines,robitussin,and zyrtec. I did this and haven't felt better. I've had this post nasal drip for around a month, but this week it has seemed to kick back up again to a real bad stage. The constant drainage is causing my stomach to hurt, but I'm not sure if this could be a sign of IBS, Acid Reflux, or just the plain drainage? Help anyone?

I was taking a random paper from the ground and Maggie came up and bit me and I swiped my hand away and let go of the paper. Shes one of the sweetest puppies I've had, she wasn't chewing on it, and she just bit me. She torn off some skin, no bleeding though. I washed it with soap and put first aid kit spray on it. I put her in time out and I smacked her gently on her muzzle. I also cleaned up the paper. Anyways, the bite rised up and it swelled up and it became bumpy around the bite. Is this bad? A few years ago, my brother was fat and my grandma didn't like that so she offered him an iPod (she's pretty rich) if he lost some weight, which he did. Ok so recently my dad has been treating me like total crap. He refuses to answer my text messages and phone calls. When I was with my brother, my brother told me to call my dad, I did and it went to voicemail and he ignored it. So what does my dad do? He returns the call.. but to my brother's phone!
