Recommended pet for child with allergies?

I would recommend a Bearded Dragon. You can hold them, play with them, they will sit on your shoulder for HOURS and NOT jump of, and they get attached to their owners. I don't know if they could cause an allergy (I don't have allergies) but they are great for kids. I get A LOT from mine, they are amazing animals.
